Trains
Even before he developed his lifelong passion for steam cars, Tom Marshall loved trains and received his first model train set, an early Lionel model, for Christmas in 1927. He has been hooked ever since. With his father, T. Clarence Marshall, Tom helped build the Auburn Valley Railroad in the 1950s and 1960s, which still circles the estate today, captivating young and old alike.
The Marshall Steam Museum includes several early live steam locomotives, in addition to young Tommy’s first Lionel trains, which still amuse our youngest visitors. Click on the images below to learn more about the Marshall railroad collections.
